We are currently looking for a talented Category Manager within the indirect category to join the Danish Crown Procurement team in the UK. Reporting into Denmark, you will be responsible for maximising the commercial benefit by clustering total material consumption across business units. This includes reducing risk in the supply chain whilst increasing the overall value from the supply base.
As a Category Manager, you will be responsible for securing clear category strategy within specific material category. You will engage proactively with stakeholders to secure aligned decisions and gain access to innovation from suppliers and market.
You will be educated to degree level or be able to demonstrate equivalent experience, hold a relevant business or purchasing qualification (CIPS) You will have a proven track record of delivering strong business results from a similar position, ideally Factory Hygiene or facility Services Management. Project Management skills and Sourcing Process Management skills are an added advantage. A strong business acumen and excellent analytical skills, you will be proficient in negotiating and contract management with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. You can demonstrate a proven record working in a performance driven culture.
