We are seeking a Planning Manager to join the site team based at our Linton site. You will be responsible for ensuring a 100% service level is delivered to our customers by generating production plans for numerous operational departments and managing raw material intake and output and waste whilst ensuring all aspects of product life, quality and all other standards are maintained.
You will drive a team of planners to ensure minimal waste is generated and construct and implement planning procedures and new systems and be dedicated to the continuous improvement of these. In addition to managing our critical seasonal production peaks including order patterns, advice to customer on allocations, reconciling orders against forecast, manage defrost programmes, order/sales monitoring etc you will also manage all the daily operational requirements of the planning function. This will involve providing sales forecast information, promotional analysis, updating forecasts, managing all raw materials orders and stock movement, both internally and externally, as well as providing management information on all of the above.
The successful candidate will be extremely customer focused with strong communication skills enabling you to build and maintain close collaboration with the sales team, our customers and operation teams. An analytical approach and experience of providing reports and performance measurements is a must as is proven experience of evaluating working processes and the ability to make recommendations to improve overall performance.

Ideally the successful candidate will already hold a degree and have experience working in a FMCG planning environment with a sound understanding of weekly planning and forecasting. It is essential that you can work within tight deadlines and have a flexible attitude. Advanced Excel skills are essential as is a sound knowledge of Sap.
