We are looking for a talented Purchasing Coordinator who will be responsible for managing Site-based Procurement activity whilst ensuring alignment with Group Procurement strategy. The Group Procurement team, which was centralised in 2017, operates a matrix ‘lead-buyer’ structure and is responsible for setting all Procurement strategy across the Danish Crown Group. The successful applicant will support the UK based Group Procurement team in delivering the Procurement transformation agenda and be the main point of contact for the Site. Stakeholder relationship building and need to drive contract compliance are key.

Main Duties will be:

Manage site specific spend
Manage supplier performance and issue resolution, ensuring issues are fed back to Group Procurement team
Manage supplier pricing compliance to contract
Co-ordinate and manage trial process for new supplier/material/technical specification driven requirements
Ensure buy-in of, and communicate to site stakeholders on above process changes
Identify site specific savings opportunities that may be considered as a Group opportunity eg multi-site
Co-ordinate supplier innovation in conjunction with Group Procurement, Packaging Development Manager, Technical and NPD teams
Manage site specific PO and invoice queries from suppliers and invoice clearing/unblocking
Manage site supplier dry goods stock levels and reporting and ensure assurance of supply according to the production plan
Manage creation of new vendors for site ensuring compliance to new vendor addition process
Assist in SKU change management for new or revised products
Assist Group Procurement in supply of pre-tender documentation and data
Perform administration of site-specific material description or price changes, ensuring notification to Group Procurement prior to any changes
Flag any non-compliance to contract prices or payment terms to Group Procurement

Our ideal candidate will have recent experience at a similar level in a multi-site food-manufacturing environment, exposure to category management with preferable first-hand experience of tendering processes is essential. An awareness of the complexities of implementing supplier and material changes in a food manufacturing environment with previous exposure to cost reduction programmes is essential as well as skills in Project Management and time organisation. Experience and proficiency with systems such as Excel and the ability to by analytical. SAP and stock control systems such as Arolink familiarity would be beneficial.
