Reporting to the site Technical Manager, as a key member of the site Technical Team you will be responsible for the management of the site Quality Assurance System documentation and audits to ensure compliance with Tulip, Customer and third Party assurance scheme requirements for Food Safety and Quality and identify opportunities for continuous improvements.

Key accountabilities include; a shared responsibility for the implementation and maintenance of the BRC global Standard for Food, internal auditing to reflect the needs of the business and to meet due diligence requirements in respect of hygiene / housekeeping, policies / procedures, standards and cleaning schedules. You will ensure that all new products meet the QA standards as previously defined and systems and control documentation are implemented within appropriate timescales to support operational and commercial needs. All own label new products to comply with specific customer requirements. You will also identify appropriate level of pest control to maintain integrity of product safety and minimise risk of pest contamination to premises and product. Select appropriate contractor needs and within agreed costs. Recommend to the business appropriate action and controls to ensure food safety standards are not compromised. You will also raise specific items of concern relating to food safety or quality or other areas of major concern that would otherwise affect the success of the Company in achieving the strategic objectives.
