Tulip Ltd is owned by The Danish Crown group, which is the largest pork producer in Europe and the biggest exporter of pork in the world. Please see www.danishcrown.com if you would like to find out more.

Tulip International was established in 1990 through a merger of Normeat, Danepak, Jaka and Tulip, and in 1998 became wholly owned by Danish Crown. In 1999, Vestjyske Slagterier (VJS) and Danish Crown merged. As a result, Tulip International took over the processing business of VJS and Danish Crown, reinforcing Tulip International's position in the domestic and international market.

Tulip Ltd was established in the UK in 2002. In 2003, we acquired Hygrade Foods and the following year we took over the Flagship Foods Group which comprised a number of specialist meat companies, i.e. Roach Foods Ltd, Dalehead Foods Ltd, Flagship Fresh Meats and BQP.

More recently in December 2007, we added George Adams and Sons Ltd to the Tulip family and consolidated our position as the UK’s market leader in food production and as a key supplier to UK supermarkets.

Today we have 18 sites throughout the UK employing around 8000 people. We care deeply about our employees and aim to deliver consistency on both quality and service at all times.
