At Tulip we strongly believe that our people are our key asset and testimony to this is our Tulip Learning and Development Academy, which supports our culture change programme. As we grow from strength to strength and become a strong food company, we are developing leaders within every level and role across our business through our learning and development programmes.

In our fast paced, interesting, diverse and growing business, providing our employees have the ability and ambition we will support them to achieve their full potential. Our programmes are both creative and business focused to help our employees not only achieve their objectives but exceed them by focusing on engagement and ownership. We take training very seriously and when new people join the business they are quickly made aware of how they can progress and develop within the company.

We provide “an opportunity for all” across all levels of the business and the chance for promotion and advancement. Whether people develop into a leadership role or join us in one of these positions already, they will receive the right levels of management and leadership training by participating in the relevant programmes.

Our commitment to learning and development was rewarded throughout 2011. Tulip was commended in the People and Skills category of The Manufacturer of the Year Awards and became a finalist in the Training Programme of the Year category of the Food Manufacturing Excellence Awards. The Food and Drink Federation also presented Tulip with a Community Partnership Award in the Good Employer category.
