About the Tulip King’s Lynn site

This site produces sliced cooked meats like; ham, corned beef, chicken, turkey and pork lunch tongue. The site was originally built in the 1960’s under Baxters Butchers and was then purchased by the East Asiatic Group, owners of Plumrose brand. In 1993, the site was bought by Danish Company VJS, who then merged with Danish Crown in 1999 to create Tulip UK. In 2002 the King’s Lynn site was selected for major investment extending and updating both its manufacturing and slicing facilities.

Quality Assurance

We are proud to be accredited by BRC and EFSIS as of 23 Oct 2007.

Training

The site trains employees in HACCP Awareness, Ecolab chemical training, NVQ Food & drink, Meat & Poultry NVQ, Basic food Hygiene, Fire Marshall Training and First Aid.
