Kind hearted colleagues from Tulip’s head office, based on the town’s Warwick Technology Park, pulled out all the stops to raise over £1,400 much needed funding for local charity, The Myton Hospices.
The charity, which has hospices in Warwick, Coventry and Rugby, needs to raise £8m annually to provide for a wide range of terminal illnesses, including impatient beds and support for patient’s families.
Colleagues from Tulip held a number of fund raising events during the past 12 months including dress down days and a bonfire day lunch, without the bonfire! And as Tulip’s Marie Holmes explains, The Myton Hospices is set to gain by further fundraising by the team; “We have supported Myton for a couple of years now and it is a cause that is held dear by all of us, the much needed work the charity does for people with terminal illnesses and the support it provides for their families is truly fantastic.
Commenting on the donation, The Myton Hospice’s Corporate Fundraiser, Rosie Houghton added; “We’re delighted with the donations we have received to date from the team at Tulip, and the fact that they will be continuing to raise money for us throughout the coming year is really great news”
“We need to raise over £8m a year to enable us to continue providing our service and any donation, no matter how large or small is always very welcome.”
