Title: Area Coordinator (PM Shift)
Shift/Working hours: 3pm – Midnight (Monday to Friday)
We are currently seeking an Area Co-Ordinator to work closely with the Curing Manager and production team.
You will be responsible for:
Monitor quality of output, react to variances and record management information to ensure costs, quality and production targets are achieved.
Must be aware of all KPI indicators, i.e. ways in which efficiency and yields can be increased and labour costs and waste can be reduced.
Liaise and communicate with the team and other departments to keep them informed of progress, to resolve issues and to ensure the efficient running of the area.
Carry out assessments on team members in relation to performance and training needs to ensure the team operates effectively and targets are met.
To be responsible for staff disciplinary/back to work procedures and to consistently manage staffing levels.
Ensure all necessary customer and food safety checks/records are maintained by your team.
Demonstrates an interest in developing self and others in order to improve performance and encouraging contributions from others and taken their views into account.
Confident in walking customers/auditors/directors through the department giving detailed explanation of processes and gains and losses etc.
Understanding of audit standards and audit status at any given time.
Your ability to work as part of a team and deal professionally with internal and external customers is a must. Full training both internal and external will be given to meet the standards as set out by both the site and our customers.
The successful candidate must have:
IT Skills for data input
Some Understanding of unit costs/yields
Technical understanding of equipment
Ability to cover in the absence of Area Manager.
Previous experience of curing product
Labour stability/labour turnover/absenteeism
Yield / labour variance KPI’s
Leadership / coaching
Problem solving and decision making
