Cost Accountant (Fixed term contract)

This role is an initial 9-month support role based at our site in Bury St Edmunds. Working in a fast-paced environment this role will involve dealing with a number of challenging projects involving :

Developing a robust process-built suite of informative and relevant KPI’s.
Supporting the Site Financial Controller with the migration of SAP from the Tulip’s online platform to Pilgrim’s. This will require coding and process changes to multiple interlinked systems.
Supporting the Site Financial Controller on building Bills of Materials and set these up across SAP and Factory systems due to the large number large number of product changes and launches over the coming months.
Review the current costings for both Lamb and Bacon products and ensure the full Bill of Materials are uploaded into SAP.
Rewriting of internal weekly production reporting spreadsheets (Unit Costs Files) to meet new reporting standard.
Develop new cost models to ensure seasonality and variability on purchase and sales costs is key to driving improved forecast accuracy.
Preparation for the 2021 budgeting process and a model re-writing.
Reviewing and refining the weekly reporting of EBIT by production SKU.

The ideal candidate will have:

Very strong Excel modelling skills.
Good people skills, be a self-starter and have the ability to work cross functionally.
Be hands on, happy to get on the shop floor and understand the business and process flows.
Work in a systematic, process driven manner.
SAP Experience is desirable.
