We have an exciting opening within our HR team for an individual who has knowledge and experience of Early Careers and Apprenticeship Activity, either because you have firsthand knowledge or because you have been previously been involved in leading on a wide range of Early Career and Apprenticeships with experience engaging with young people generally 16 – 24 years. Ideally you will already have experience of coordinating a Levy fund and ensuring compliance, but don’t worry if not, training can be provided.
Ideally you will have loads of energy and will enjoy a fast paced manufacturing environment. Reporting into the Head of HR your enthusiasm, motivation, excellent communication and influencing skills will support you with proactively driving our Early Career and Apprenticeship agenda. You will enjoy engaging with Key stakeholders across the business, continually challenging the status quo.
Working with our Talent Attraction Lead, your creative skills will assist you with helping to design our Early Career and Apprenticeship attraction campaigns insuring the inclusion of a diverse young people talent pipeline. You will attend career fairs, universities or schools virtually and in person, with the support of the wider HR community sharing our fantastic career opportunities. You will take the lead on Industrial Placement activity identifying opportunities and coordinating participation. Working with the wider HR team and Talent attraction Lead identifying suitable schools and building opportunities to offer work experience programs.
Your methodical and highly organized approach will help you to scope out and co-ordinate our Early Career development activities alongside other apprenticeships initiatives aimed at attracting new talent or providing career development opportunities. Leading on EPA (end point Assessment) and other requirements in collaboration with our site HRM’s. In addition, you will drive participation in our stars scheme to ensure our Early Career and Apprentices are rewarded for their success.
Responsible for maintaining and reviewing our Early Career and Apprentice training provider portfolio and activities available, continuing to build excellent relationships with current and prospective new providers in collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure we are always receiving the very best quality and can deliver opportunities in all areas of the business and the programs are aligned to our requirements.
You will relish a very varied and busy workload and be open to participating in projects or taking the lead in new initiatives and your ongoing evaluation of our success and any missed opportunities, will ensure the continual development of our Early Career and Apprenticeship talent pipeline. Your social media skills will support you in growing our Early Career and Apprenticeship social media activity where we can maximize our networking opportunities internally and externally.
You will also need to be a competent IT user with skills that enable you to share Early Career and Apprenticeship data that will support on going decisions. You will hold a full driving license and be willing to travel, staying away from home as required.
