Working together, with the Director of Operational Excellence and as a key member of the Operational Excellence Leadership team. We are looking for a leader to direct and manage the Operational Excellence Management method and Excellence Awards Program to leverage profitability, improvement of the results and connection among others areas within Company.

Principle Responsibilities in this role are:

Drive and Coordinate the implementation, roll out, management of the Excellence Award Program within the business
Connect the dots among different areas within the Company, such as Safety, Human Resources, Environmental, Quality, Engineering, Agriculture and Management.
Drive and support the development of the General Rules to manage the Excellence Award Program
Keep clear the main Rules to support means and results in all areas within Tulip Excellence Awards
Support the development of the Pillar Books and Checklist for self-evaluation for all Pillars within the Excellence Award Program
Provide status updates of the rules, books and indicators to support the improvement in all BU’s that are participants of the Excellence Award Program
Organise, manage and support the Audit process to check the adherence and results the BU’s in terms of the Excellence Award Program
Lead 1 annual meeting with Coordinators of Operational Excellence, Corporate Pillar Owners and Local Pillar Owners to update, align, improve and develop the Pillar Books, rules and indicators to support Excellence Award Program
Visit Factories and other BU areas (during the year) to help and support in creating action plans, opening and closing gaps, general improvement and new challenges.
Hold meetings between Corporate Pillar Owners & Local Pillar Owners in Factories to track the means and results
Development of materials and support in presentations and meetings for Director of Operational Excellence and Executive Team
Consolidate and create the summary report for all Areas (Pillars) in Excellence Awards, considering means and results
Drive and support the implementation of the Pilgrims Management Method in each of the specific business units within Tulip.
Co-own the Management Pillar implementation by teaching all its tools, training personnel, serving as support in case of questions, and keeping the material always updated with any improvement developed, as well supporting the same action in other Pillars
Support the team of Site Coordinators of Operational Excellence (OEC’s) helping them with the implementation and execution of the Management Method tools and Pillar Books in their complexes;
Run gap analysis for all the business units.
Consolidate the gap analysis monthly to have the horizontal (drivers) and vertical (plants) views and impacts to Tulip (Pilgrim’s).
Support the planning of quarterly corporate meetings to check results based on the usage of the tools of the management method;
Support a monthly meeting to communicate the status of the Management Method to the top management team of Tulip (Pilgrim’s)
Partner with Safety, Human Resources, Environmental, Quality, Engineering, Agriculture and Management.
Act on an ad-hoc basis to solve several minor issues related to particularities of each plant and/or minor corporate problems;
Available to travel up to 30% of the time.

Our ideal candidate will have experience and skills in the following areas;

Hands-on & Detail oriented
Good internal relationship
Experience in Lean Manufacture / Continuous Improvement
Proven experience of delivering and embedding CI processes in an Operational Environment.
Experience in a FMCG Industry.
Proven experience of change management including cultural change.
Evidence of creating strong culture of involvement and influence with people through empowerment and coaching
Real impactful gravitas and presence. An individual with energy, stamina and passion.
