Title: Hygiene Operator
Monday – Friday (42 Hours)
6am – 3pm and 3pm – Midnight Shifts available
£8.62ph with overtime available
We are looking to recruit Hygiene Operator’s within our Curing and Slicing departments who will play a key role in maintaining an efficient running of production lines on the site.
The site is operational 5 days a week; therefore a flexible approach is a must to ensure that a consistent level of service is provided to all departments and shifts.
You will be required to undertake the following:
Set up, changeover and operate machinery and other equipment in the area within standard operating procedures to achieve required outputs and quality.
Carry out a range of manual tasks and activities and ensure all tasks are finished within permitted time frames.
Check and monitor processes making recommendations for any adjustments necessary to achieve product and process specification.
To collect and issue PPE and clothing when needed.
Operate the washing machine to clean specified production equipment following the correct procedure.
Strip and clean the washing machine, water tank, filters and refill following the correct procedures.
Operate high pressure water guns for cleaning operations.
Place roll top waste bins on each line and empty as required.
Wash and clean floors in all areas of the Factory as necessary.
Transport stillages, dolavs and racks to wash bay from packing halls and Pressing area as necessary for cleaning and return to appropriate departments.
Empty waste containers from production departments as necessary.
Refill soap and towel containers in packing and production areas.
The successful applicant will have or be able to :
General good health and fitness
Previous factory cleaning experience an advantage
Ability to work independently
Practical / manual handling skills
Basic H&S awareness
Knowledge of COSHH
