A vacancy has arisen for someone to support our procurement projects, working across our Linton & Bury sites. The successful candidate will work closely with the NPD team to source raw materials and packaging solutions as part of the NPD process, be involved in procurement projects for future innovation, supplier and material development and product launch support and execution, alongside undertaking and managing other procurement improvement and functional focussed projects. You will have a clear understanding of the packaging and ingredients market place and utilise this knowledge to support proposed projects, innovation and improvements of procurement, but also actively source the required packaging and materials.

The successful candidate will have proven purchasing experience within a manufacturing environment, ideally within food. You will have the ability to generate outline project costs/benefits/impacts and have the skills to research and support the identified innovation and launch challenges. Excellent IT skills, particularly Excel are a must as is the ability to deliver effective and concise presentations to all internal and external stakeholders. Packaging and ingredient knowledge is essential and CIPS part or fully qualified would be an advantage.
