£9.12ph

3pm – Midnight (Monday to Friday, 42.08 hours per week)

We are looking to recruit an Operator within our Racking department who will play a key role in maintaining an efficient running of production lines on the site.

The site is operational 5 days a week; therefore a flexible approach is a must to ensure that a consistent level of service is provided to all departments and shifts.

You will be required to undertake all of the following, this is not an exhaustive list:

Set up, changeover and operate machinery and other equipment in the area within standard operating procedures to achieve required outputs and quality.
Check and monitor processes making recommendations for any adjustments necessary to achieve product and process specification.
Help solve problems and make suggestions for improvement so that better ways of doing jobs are identified and implemented.
Locate and transport raw material into the grading area and store safety ready for grading.
Fully understand how to safety operate and stop the grading conveyor.
Load the material onto the grading conveyor in the correct manner and store empty containers ready for disposal.
Off load raw material from the grading, conveyor into portable racks in the required order and in the correct number per shelf.
Label and number each rack as per the grading order, recording the necessary information, and transport the racks to the nominated blast freezer.
Programme the blast freezer to the required temperatures recording the necessary information.

The successful applicant will:

Forklift experience/certificate an advantage
Previous line/cold room experiences an advantage
6-12 months experience in operations/similar work
Ability to work independently
Practical/manual handling skills
Basic H&S Awareness
